Central Texas Equipment Company was founded in Austin, Texas in 1946 by “Dulie” Bell
and Joe Teague.  After 52 years in business, the company was merged in 1998 with
Crescent Machinery Company in Dallas, Texas.  In 2004, the company was spun off by
Crescent Machinery in a management buyout and reemerged as Central Texas
Equipment.  The “new” company is owned by Andy Tewell, Chris Tewell, Walter
Kurowski, and Bob Henry and represents such major manufacturers as Terex, Sullair,
Dynapac, Superior Sweepers, LBX Company, Wacker, Elliott, Chicago Pneumatic, and
Allen Engineering.  Central Texas Equipment moved to Round Rock, Texas (a suburb of
Austin) in 2005.  Central Texas Equipment is a stocking dealer for both complete machines
and parts for the lines it represents as well as having a service department of factory
trained shop and field mechanics.
